Who is Nina Ryne?
Storyteller and singer
Nina Ryne is a featured performer in schools, libraries,
bookstores and festivals from coast to coast. Her original and collected songs and stories
are fun, participatory, thought-provoking, multi-cultural and emphasize accepting people
for who they are.
Trained in acting and singing
in New York City and England, Nina has been a
professional performer for children and adults since 1980. With an original children's
play, she toured New York City schools and appeared at the Kennedy Center For the
Performing Arts in Washington D.C.
Nina is a credentialed music and drama specialist
with over 15 years of experience
teaching music and drama from preschool to high school. She holds a bachelor's degree
in Theatre from the State University of New York and a teaching credential from
Chapman University. In 2000, she was nominated for Teacher of the Year in the San Luis
Coastal Unified School District.
Songwriter and recording artist
Nina Ryne offers a CD for children titled It's Our World
children's songs and stories for singing and dancing. She also presents concerts at clubs,
cafes and special events for mature audiences. Her new recording of original music
for adults is called Feet on the Ground. Nina composed the songs for the children's play
Ready or Not, Here We Come.
