In 2009, Nina Ryne and Jan Grigsby have teamed up to create a CD of original and collected folk music titled Lost and Found. Jan Grigsby, a songwriter and vocalist who plays guitar, viola and mandolin, has performed in various bands in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. He also has performed for children at libraries, Live Oak Music Festival and in Orcutt, where he has taught kindergarten for over 20 years.
In Lost and Found, Nina and Jan’s strong vocal harmonies are accompanied by guitar, mandolin, viola and Native American flute. Original songs on the album, such as Soar and Your Turn To Go are dedicated to their children as they graduate high school. Be Still and From the Ground Up communicate messages of inner reflection. A lighthearted and updated version of Down By the Riverside, Bob Dylan’s Forever Young and Kate Wolf’s Give Yourself To Love are arranged in a unique and original style. Songs of love, both lost and found, are also sung with weaving vocal parts and overlapping melodies.
Lost and Found is available at Boo Boo Records in San Luis Obispo, CA,

Nina has returned to public performances of this original music and other well-known
favorites.
