Eastern European Songs and Stories
Dressed in traditional Czechoslovakian costume worn by her mother and
grandmother, Nina Ryne shares her Eastern European heritage through interactive songs and stories.
Using Russian nesting dolls, Nina illustrates how folklore is handed down from
one generation to the next.
While learning more about Eastern European culture, this captivating performance inspires children to explore their own heritage and how it has
contributed to our identity as Americans.

Songs and Stories From Around the World
This dynamic storyteller presents multi-cultural songs and stories in a
theatrical, interactive style.
Songs accompanied by guitar are in Spanish, French, Russian and
American Sign Language.
Children are selected from the audience to act out a folktale.
Children gain understanding and respect for those of various abilities
and diverse cultural backgrounds through songs and stories. (K-8)

Bilingual(Spanish/English)Emphasis
